Across Borders takes place in a fantasy alternate universe that draws strongly on both Gaelic and Chinese culture influences.
The conflict between the Ceffyl Dwr and the Shui-long has been going on for ages. One day, the princess of the Shui-long and members of the Ceffyl Dwr attempt peace, and the meeting goes badly awry.
Enter Xin-jian, one of the guards assigned to the princess who is thrust into the unfortunate position of attempting peace, and having no idea what to do with his new-found feelings for Ceffyl Dwr soldier, Tiernan.
